New Jersey Asbestos exposure and mesothelioma lawyer Patrick J. Bartels has created the Mesothelioma Online Support Network to provide mesothelioma patients and their loved ones with comprehensive and up-to-date information about the disease. Although mesothelioma is a rare disease, it drastically changes the lives of those afflicted and those close to them. In addition to learning about mesothelioma and the role asbestos plays in the development of mesothelioma, you will also learn who is at risk of developing the disease as well as the symptoms of mesothelioma, medical procedures used to diagnose mesothelioma, the various options available for treatment, and how to protect your rights if you or a loved one has been the victim of an asbestos exposure injury.

AV Rated attorney and Managing Partner, Patrick J. Bartels, has been practicing law for over 28 years and dedicates his practice almost exclusively to asbestos exposure and mesothelioma litigation. We understand the difficult task of selecting the right attorney to fight for you or your loved one’s legal rights.

Find support and answers.

Mesothelioma may be treated through surgery, chemotherapy, pleurectomy, or radiation therapy. In more severe cases, such as stage 4 lung cancer, the survival rate is so low that the treatment may simply consist of palliative procedures, focusing on the symptoms rather than curing the disease. Side effects of chemotherapy can be severe and the aggressive treatment may be more devastating than simply managing the symptoms through palliative care.
